Ingredient
Organic Green Tea
Scout's take
Single-ingredient organic green tea provides catechins (notably EGCG), polyphenols, and ~25 mg of L-theanine per cup. Multiple meta-analyses (Hartley et al. 2013; Yi 2017) show modest cardiovascular and metabolic benefits at habitual intake. The L-theanine + caffeine combination is one of the most well-studied calm-focus pairings in the literature. USDA Organic certification reduces pesticide exposure relative to conventionally grown tea, where DDT, glyphosate, and chlorpyrifos residues are commonly detected.

Organic green tea is rich in antioxidants, particularly catechins, which support overall health and may reduce the risk of chronic diseases. Being organic, it is grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, enhancing its health benefits. The natural compounds in green tea can also aid in metabolism and improve brain function.
